About FITMOM Durham – Jennifer Rogers

As the proud owner of FITMOM Durham, Jennifer helps women achieve their personal wellness goals and promotes healthy birth experiences for new and expecting moms. With over 17 years in the health & wellness field she brings extensive experience in group facilitation and public speaking, and is skilled in providing enhanced learning and fitness experiences for her clients.

In 2006 she also added the designation of Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator to her list of credentials. She has been teaching prenatal Lamaze classes for over 10 years to families across Durham Region. Her background in Adult Education, Group Facilitation and Public Speaking ensures that your group or private series is fun and informative. She is well known for her sense of humour and past participants often say that attending her classes was the highlight of their week! Jennifer is also a certified Birth Doula with DONA International and feels privileged to provide labour support to the families she works with. She is also one of the Co-Program Directors for the Institute of Childbirth Educators.

She regularly attends workshops and courses to ensure her knowledge regarding fitness and healthy birth practices for the childbearing mother, is current. In her free time, Jennifer, gives back to her community as an active volunteer with the Durham Family YMCA.

Most importantly, she is also known as Mom to two busy, growing boys Ben & Jakob.

More About FITMOM

Andrea Page founded FITMOM in April 2000, one year after her first son was born. The birth of FITMOM was the result of her own personal struggle to overcome severe postpartum depression in her first year as a mom. She found exercise to be the key to her survival and wanted to help support other new moms on their journey to health and wellness in their postpartum years. Throughout her career, Andrea has been deemed an International expert on prenatal and postnatal fitness and was selected to collaborate on “Healthy Beginnings”, a guide published by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Of Canada, to help women achieve a healthy pregnancy. She has written hundreds of articles and, alongside other experts, developed the curriculum to train all FITMOM coaches and licensees. Over the years Andrea has inspired and motivated thousands of women to work towards improved health with a special focus on mental, physical and spiritual health for the new mom. As the mom of three boys, Andrea understands the challenges and needs of new moms and is constantly searching for solutions to help moms build their community support.
