Prenatal Fitness

FITMOM2Be fitness classes will focus on improving your muscular balance, cardiovascular endurance and core stability so that you’ll feel more energetic and strong throughout your pregnancy. Active and healthy pregnant women go into labour with an advantage that helps them endure the physical demands of the delivery.

The Benefits of Exercise During Pregnancy

1.Boosting energy levels: Most women experience fatigue at various times during their pregnancy. Engaging in physical activity 3-5 times per week will actually give you more energy to perform daily tasks and will help you sleep better at night!

2.Reducing common pregnancy discomforts: Strengthening your core muscles will greatly reduce common discomforts, such as back pain, which is experienced by many women during pregnancy.

3.Toning your body: Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t have an improved body shape. By increasing lean muscle tissue, you are preparing for your body to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape more easily. Pregnant women who exercise often have an overall feeling of wellness, confidence and self esteem.

4.Reducing your risk of having a Cesarean Section: Studies show that when women are physically active they greatly reduce their chances of having a C-Section.

5.Having an easier labour! Regular exercise helps facilitate the labour process. Women who are physically fit have better strength and stamina to endure the physical demands of labour.

The fitmom2be classes are amazing! I definitely feel like I get a full workout at the end and am challenged throughout. My favourite part is all the additional information we get before/after class – Jenn has so much knowledge to share in addition to the workout

I really can’t say enough about how much these classes have helped me! I started with FITMOM2Be which I am certain helped with my labour and recovery.  Now I do FITMOM+Baby which has really helped me to feel strong again. Jen is so knowledgeable about everything fitness and pre and post baby, I am always learning from her. She is also fantastic at giving variations of exercises depending on fitness level. She is always welcoming and really just a fantastic person!! Totally recommend these classes to every woman out there.
