My Favourite Sugar Free Waffles

Try these easy to make Waffles for your next Brunch or Breakfast!

Many years ago I received a waffle maker- which sent me on the hunt for an easy recipe that was sugar free! My kids LOVE syrup so I did not feel like we need to add even more sugar into the batter. I make waffles for lots of special occasions and just because on lazy Sundays! These waffles have been tested in our kitchen and are a fan favourite for the family.

Dry Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of Flour

3 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

1/3 cup of melted butter

1 Large Egg (beaten before it folds in)

1 tsp Vanilla

1 1/2 Cups of Oat Milk

Instructions:

Combine all dry ingredients.  In a separate bowl mix all wet ingredients and fold in with the dry.  Let set for 5 min (to activate the baking powder).

Heat up your waffle maker while your batter activates.

Additions/Substitutions:

Add ripe, mashed bananas to the batter to make it sweeter.

Swap out Oat Milk for Almond Milk, or other milk alternative.

Add your favourite fruit to top your waffles.

Serving Size:

Makes 5-6 Large Waffles
